Hi everyone! I'm Leo, a PhD candidate majored in Engineering. I wanna improve my English speaking skills and have more confidence to communicate with native speakers. Let's go for it!
I took part in the kick-off meeting for this English intensive colearning. Just watched some English videos on Youtube and tuned in a X space which is English-speaking.
Joined the English Hub dicord channel today. Introduced myself and took the class stage named "Informal slang/idioms used in American English".
Today I attended the Casual Conversation with Tim which is one of conversation clubs in the English Club discord channel. The host Tim is a native English speaker from UK. I think the casual conversation event is helpful for our learners to practice conversational English without pressure.
Today I joined the Jame's conversation class in the English Hub Discord channel. I learned about the possible replies of the others asking "how are you?". Besides, I knew that the importance of active listening when people have a conversation.
Attended the weekly meeting to share my experience of practicing English last week.
Joined the Special Event Mock Construction Project Proposal "Acing The Interview: Skills to Land the Job You Want".
Joined the Sci-Tech Lounge in the Discord channel.
