The current implementation executes shell commands inside non-interactive sandboxes embedded directly within the chat window. While this suffices for trivial tasks, it represents a hard blocker for DevOps, Ops, and generic Systems Engineering workflows.
It instantly freezes or aborts the execution of commands and scripts when encountering password prompts, dynamic cloud CLI authentication (MFA/OAuth tokens), or any non-deterministic logic forks requiring user inputs.
The agent should at least have an option to execute commands inside the native VsCode terminal window, together with monitoring its execution, same as some of the other agents are able to do.
