Images do not fit to table cell

Hello Weasyprint Team,

this is our example:
invoice_factur-X.214062337.html

And this is how it is rendered by Weasyprint v67:

The Problem is that the ZUGFeRD and Factur-X Logos #zugferd-logo and #factur-x-extended-logo in the payment table do not fit to the cell width.

I find no way to avoid having them overlap and even extend the page border. The display: grid; setting in td#factur-x-logos was just my latest try, but I would be happy to know if I there is a workaround or a specific CSS attribute that would help making these images fit to the cell.

I am not sure how this is related to the other recent issues here, and therefore I add this example as another issue.

We are very happy about the better PDF/A (according to the Changelog) support in v67 and would like to update soon, because this used to break validation of ZUGFeRD/Factur-X invoices generated using weasyprint. We hope v67 would fix that.
Unfortunately, the document must still render correctly ;-) .

That’s strange, here’s what I get with your sample and WeasyPrint 67:

Did you use a specific option to generate your PDF?

Very interesting, thank you for that observation. This has just pointed me into the right direction.

We obtain our rendering from a query to the /convert/html endpoint of the REST service by SchweizerischeBundesbahnen.
We only apply .queryParam("pdf_variant", "pdf/a-3b"), but I have only just now realized, that that service renders SVGs to PNGs before passing the HTML to weasyprint.

And this involves also a modification of the img style, it seems:

That method

1. puts an HTML width attribute into the img node
2. puts an inline style="width:123px;" attribute to the img that is not present in my code. It would replace any CSS width: setting in my original inline CSS.

And then this problem is a matter of the precedence of the styles, as evaluated by weasyprint, if you ask me.

renders for me as

I do not quite understand this yet, but my document renders correctly if I apply the styling using id instead of class.

Do you have the possibility to get the modified version of the HTML? That would be easier to understand what’s going on.

Hi @liZe , thats not very easy for me, because I see no way to let weasyprint or the service by @SchweizerischeBundesbahnen output that info for debugging purposes, without forking the service.
I will try to find some time for it after christmas. And If I manage to do that, A possibility to switch off that svg-png replacement altogether in the service would be good, I believe.

If, after removing the SVG renderer, you have problems to render some SVGs, don’t hesitate to report bugs, we’ll take care of them.
