Graph Visualization Error when a new category is added but dashboard stats are outdated

when a new category is added to the db but the category is not reflected in dashboard stats the visualization graph gives an error. This is because the dashboard stats are updated periodically to avoid overflow. Either validate categories in the frontend to avoid errors when creating links to non-existing categories or force update the dashboard stats
