Can I replace marked text in the editor? #4836

Most text editors allow you to replace selected text instantly by typing a letter, pasting text or a backspace, does this functionality exist in mcedit? if so, how do I enable it? I know you can delete marked with f8, but I can't bind it to backspace because if there is no marked text then it won't act like a normal backspace. |

Try to switch the "Persistent selection" option off. |
