• Assigning only modifier keys is not possible¹

Workarounds for Wayland¹

If your environment supports the XDG Global Keybinds Portal (KDE Plasma, GNOME), global keybinds are essentially split into two parts:

• The internal keybind inside Discord (emulated by GoofCord)
• The external keybind in your DE's shortcut manager (what is actually global)

To bypass issues 1 & 2, set any random keybind inside Discord, then assign your desired keybind in your system's shortcut manager instead.

A minor thing, and I don't know if it's a KDE issue or a Goofcord issue, the shortcut binded are not listed into Goofcord, but under org.chromium.Chromium

That is expected then, it uses system-wide Electron.

Is it a known issue where my Toggle Mute keybind does not work unless Goofcord is the focused Window, on Windows 11?
If I am in game, or in my browser or another application focused, and I hit my Toggle Mute keybind, nothing happens.
If I click onto Goofcord then press the keybind, it works.

Sometimes DE doesn't ask for my input, so the keybind doesn't work outside of Discord

Some keys are not always registered (sometimes it work, it's very random)
For my use can I binded a mouse key to also emit F13 (XF86Tools)

can confirm F13 key does not work, i use that for push to talk on my mouse software but i tried changing that to a different key and now it works
