Error composer native:dev

On Linux, after installing a fresh laravel app and the nativephp package, I run composer native:dev and get the following error:

[30406:0719/131739.048390:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(163)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /home/gustavo/Sites/nativephp-launcher/vendor/nativephp/electron/resources/js/node_modules/electron/dist/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

Answer myself:

Before running composer native:serve, make sure to install all the package.json dependencies, and then run php artisan serve and open the link in the browser.

In my case, I didn't have the database.sqlite file, so the nativephp runner was failing in silence.
