Multithreading plot silently crashes #1
Description
It appears that the multithreaded function which regularly updates the matplotlib plots occasionally/randomly crashes silently.
This could be due to a number of potential causes that relate to the logic itself, issues with qthreads spawning additional threads, or potentially a segfault.
