Feature Suggestion
When analyzing stocks in OpenBB, it would be valuable to have a reference command that surfaces relevant investment principles or decision-making frameworks based on the analysis context.
Use Case
A user is analyzing a stock's valuation metrics (P/E, EV/EBITDA, FCF yield). After running the analysis, they could run a command like /principles valuation to see what legendary investors (Graham, Buffett, Marks) say about valuation in similar contexts.
Why This Could Be Useful
OpenBB excels at data — but investment decisions are as much about frameworks and discipline as they are about data. Bridging the gap between "what the numbers say" and "how to think about the numbers" would be a differentiator.
Existing Open Resources
- KeepRule has a searchable library of 1,300+ investment principles from 27 investors, organized by scenario — could potentially serve as a data source via API
- The concept is similar to how some terminals show "analyst consensus" alongside data, but for investment philosophy instead
Just an idea — love what you're building with OpenBB!
