Preserve transparency in image when copying.

1. add a coin image with a transparent background
2. right click a visible image in the app and select copy
3. paste into an image editor. The coin has a white background.
   Could the transparent background be preserved?

I've got the same issue with the latest build 1.10.3. Here's a sample image.

Add to the app.

Now copy like this

and paste into say Paint.Net using ctrl-v etc. I get a white background not transparent.

There is progress - it almost works. In Paint.net it works, but in Word not exactly.
As you can see in the video, direct pasting in Word does not work, but if you go to the paste options you can choose which of the two sources to paste and if you choose the right one it works. From Paint.net, the paste in Word works directly, so something else needs to be changed to make it work completely.

@PhilPJL Looking at the picture you attached it looks like you haven't removed the background of the coin in the program.
Look at this option and if not selected Transparent from Settings/Main Image background color you should select it.

After changing the option, you will also need to click Edit/Remove background to remove the background and save the object without it in the database.

@JanisV Somehow, the Device Independent Bitmap needs to be removed and only the Picture (PNG) remains.

@NEKolev, CF_DIB and CF_DIBV5 is a standart Windows types and I'm not ready to exclude them yet due to compatibility with other legacy software and OS. I'll have to come back to this later and study it in more detail.

In OpenNumismat 1.10.4 copying from the built-in ImageEditor and "right click a visible image in the app and select copy" has minor differences. If possible, check these options.

I definitely have removed the background in Windows image editor. If I use 'remove background' in the app it makes no difference when copying.
