Orchard Harvest Vancouver 2026

After last year’s Orchard Harvest in Prague, we’re planning the 2026 edition and would like to bring it to North America.
To make that decision with real community input, we’ve put together a short questionnaire about where you’d be interested in attending Orchard Harvest in principle, and what you’d need to make it work (location, travel, budget, etc.).

If you’ve ever attended Harvest, thought about attending, or are just active in the Orchard Core community, your answers would really help us shape the event.

And I tell you every time that it's pointless. What isn't pointless, is subscribing to Orchard Core on YouTube, where the video will appear!

I appreciate your efforts, guys, but this time the videos took much time IMHO. That's why I suggested streaming the event if it's possible. This will open a lot of opportunities for those who can't attend the event in person

If there was an abundance of capacity in cutting/editing the videos to produce it sooner, that would be awesome, but that comes at a cost. Instead, we (Lombiq) are doing it in-house to keep costs (and by extension, ticket prices) at bay - Harvest usually has a net zero cash balance at best, mind you.

Streaming sounds good in theory, but someone needs to monitor it continuously and act to make sure that it's working correctly. If it fails, then it's much worse for Orchard reputation-wise.
I, for one don't want to worry about operating it, because then I'm not attending the conference. So again, we need to hire someone who knows what they're doing (which costs money), unless somebody volunteers to do it.

I appreciate your efforts, guys. IMHO, no need for extra cost and spend time on video cut, let's assume it's a LIVE event, this way uploading the videos will take 2-3 days IMHO

That would mean a drop in quality and even just live streaming an in-person event is way more nuanced than pushing a button (let alone using using camera(s) and microphone(s)).

But you are still welcome to raise your concerns during the organization process.

Between Prague and Las Vegas there is… Vancouver. Orchard Harvest 2026 is coming.

Orchard Harvest is the yearly moment when the Orchard Core community gets into the same room to talk roadmaps, real-world lessons, and what’s next for the platform. After Las Vegas in 2024 and Prague in 2025, the 2026 conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada.

Why Vancouver? A few simple reasons:

• Last year was Europe, so repeating Europe again would have locked out many attendees from the other side of the ocean.
• Compared to a US location, we heard more explicit pushback this time, while Canada remained a broadly acceptable option.
• Vancouver gives us the best possible “in-between” choice: reachable from both North America and Europe, and still a fresh destination for most of the community.

So if you are building on Orchard Core, contributing to it, or evaluating it for your next platform, this is your chance to connect directly with maintainers, contributors, and fellow teams using Orchard in production.

We’ll share dates and venue soon. For now, you can already start planning for 2026 September in Vancouver.

I would be surprised on my side. So far, 2026 has not been the best year for sub-contracting. I'm running on low income since the beginning of the year to get some tasks done. Either Media Gallery or some projects I've been working on since a year and a half. Not that I would not like to see you guys; but unless it would be sure it gives me some potential income I really can't take the chance. That's how it is sorry.
