Any new releases?

I've tried to install Otter into my Termux environment but it got removed from the repo due to lack of productive activity. Termux folks claim that PRs in Otter repo feel AI generated (can't say for myself, I'm not a developer) and no meaningful fixes or features have been presented since 2022.

Is Otter still being developed? Are there any new releases planned?

I'd like to formally apologize for any offence caused by my prior responses in the linked Termux discussion.
We decided to drop the otter-browser package in November due to ongoing packaging reevaluation for packages that haven't been touched in our repositories for a long time.
This was not intended to exert pressure on you (the OtterBrowser project) as an upstream, nor was it intended as a value judgement of otter as a project.

I cannot take back my earlier comments, I can only recognize that they came off as hostile and ask forgiveness for my bluntness.
I fear I'm repeating myself here.
I have also written a further clarification in the Termux discussion linked previously (termux/termux-packages#27736 (reply in thread)).

We are always open to re-packaging otter-browser on Termux.
Either in our main repositories or our secondary Termux User Repository.

qt5-qtwebengine is being gradually removed from Termux in favor of qt6-qtwebengine.

In my opinion, otter-browser was removed from Termux because it depends on qt5-qtwebengine.

If otter-browser is migrated to be compatible with qt6-qtwebengine instead of qt5-qtwebengine, I will re-add it to Termux.

And I'd like to apologize for causing this entire commotion. As I said in the Termux discussion I only wanted to try Otter because I like otters (cmon man they're literally water sausages) and this is a rather silly, if not straight up stupid reason to bother folks.

I tried programming and failed miserably, I also still try myself in project management and while I have some success - it's still incredibly hard, so I know by my own experience how hard it can be to support projects like Termux and Otter. And now I feel a little bit like an idiot.

We had to remove Otter Browser from the Gentoo Linux main repository as well due to Qt 5 removal, so I can definitely relate with that reasoning.

I can't speak for releases and such, but porting to Qt 6 is being worked on, if a bit slow-like as of late:

What about a new actual relase without dumb AI shit. AI is the death for our climate and makes the users dumb. So please make a new vewrsion withiut any AI
