In the description it says a "significant portion of the core library also compiles" how would one get the information necessary to clarify what portion of the core library compiles?

I would also like to add a fully updated version of schell/renderling: NOTES.md#limititions--gotchas, is there any info you would recommend

It might help to look at https://github.com/Rust-GPU/VulkanShaderExamples/tree/master/shaders/rust, as it will give you an idea of the sort of things you can do. But as they were ported from glsl, they aren't using many rust-native features like traits, generics, etc.
