DCAT-AP-ES profiles #451
Description
This is in response to the call for registration of DCAT-AP profiles in DCAT-AP 3.0.1 (thanks to Jakub and Joachim). In Spain, the following profiles are currently in use:
- Pre-DCAT Metadata Profile (2013): a generic profile established prior to DCAT 1.0 (2014), which served as the basis for DCAT/DCAT-AP adoption in Spain. While still in use for general-purpose metadata, it is currently being deprecated in favor of DCAT-AP-ES.
- DCAT-AP-ES: metadata model included in the new version of the Technical Standard for Interoperability of Public Sector Information Resources (NTI-RISP), which is currently undergoing administrative processing and is already being implemented as an extended profile in the National Catalog (datos.gob.es). In DCAT-AP-ES, we have chosen to incorporate the HVD extension into the core of the model to encourage publishers to describe high-value sets.
