HVD tagging has been agreed upon in INSPIRE metadata. If this is implemented, it seems more accurate and better to use.

The INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group (MIG) is discussing potential additional requirements and recommendations for the provision of INSPIRE HVD datasets and their corresponding metadata (e.g. on metadata tagging) as part of the ongoing activities of its Ad-hoc Subgroup on the Alignment of INSPIRE and High-Value Datasets implementation (MIG Action 2.5) [A2.5]. This specification will be duly updated in case additional provisions enter into force in the future.

The INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group (MIG) has formulated a Good practice on Geospatial High-Value Datasets (HVDs) tagging [HVD-GOOD-PRACTICE]. It covers the Datasets tagging in the INSPIRE metadata. This practice has been implemented in the reference XSLT transformation. However, the practice does not cover additional DCAT-AP HVD requirements such as Distribution tagging, Data Service tagging, HVD category, Quality of Service specification or the Data Service contact point. The practice will be further evaluated in the Ad-hoc Subgroup on the Alignment of INSPIRE and High-Value Datasets implementation (MIG Action 2.5) [A2.5]. This specification will be duly updated in case additional provisions enter into force in the future.
