New user, learning curve issues?

Hi, just installed Decky tonight and so far, I'm enjoying it but there's a couple of niggles that I'm unsure are me being new and not knowing something that's considered inately obvious, or if it's a bug, or just "the way it is" and maybe aught to be reconsidered...

Firstly: as a new user, I'm looking to install new plugins! Great, there's a few ways to sort how they're listed - so I pick my preference, scroll the list, find something I like and install it, then have a quick look at how it works before returning to the list. The further I've gone down the list, the more likely it is that when I go back to it, it'll have forgotten my search mode selection and restarted from the beginning, which makes it frustrating to go through the list.

Secondly, doing things this way means I'm installing plugins in the order I find them, which isn't necessarily the order I'll want to access them. I have found the Re-order option in the settings, but it doesn't do anything but change the way unselected plugins are displayed on that page; from what I've found searching, I should be able to drag things into place but if I hold X that doesn't work, and if I press A that tries to reinstall or whatever else is currently selected as the primary action. B of course backs out entirely, and Y doesn't seem to do anything - I stopped there, as if it was any of the other buttons I would hope there'd be a big flag saying so. How is this supposed to work?
