Stellarium freezes during startup

Expected Behaviour

Should open without freezing.

Actual Behaviour

When I open Stellarium, it goes through startup as normal, but then freezes at some point in the middle. For example, it gets to "initializing solar system objects" and then freezes on that. If I try to turn off my computer or let the screen fall asleep, the whole computer freezes. After a few minutes the computer will unfreeze and start up as if I just turned it on. I've been using Stellarium on the same computer for years and this only just started.

Steps to reproduce

This happens every time I open Stellarium.

System

• Stellarium version: stellarium-25.4-qt6-win64
• Operating system: Windows 10
• Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520, driver version 31.0.101.2111

Minutes ago we had a report that a recent Windows update caused similar problems.

I'm using Windows 10, not 11, so I didn't get that exact update. Windows won't let me uninstall the last update before the problem started.
