Please create an ASCL entry for Stellarium

https://ascl.net is the de-facto standard for having machine-readable identifiers for astronomy-related software. It would be lovely if there were a record for Stellarium there, too.

It's a single registration for the project, and you can evolve within reason. And it's true you're easy to find, but having an ASCL id is still great. My context is Virtual Observatory tutorials, which we register as per http://ivoa.net/documents/DocRegExt/20251102/; people now would like to have a reproducible way to find "tutorials using Stellarium" (say). Using a free-text string doesn't quite cut it ("stellarium" or "Stellarium"?), but the ASCL pretty much does. And this is what brought me here: We have tutorials using Stellarium, and I would love to add an ASCL id to these tutorials' relationships.

Hm... but that's not really Stellarium, no? In particular, the little sentence "2025-11-15 Editor note: VirGo is no longer supported." would unnerve many people. In that sense, I'd totally vote for a new record with the explicit title "Stellarium".

It's a previous plugin to Stellarium that was made for and used by ESO.
We will register the project in the next days.

Thanks. I filled in the latest V3, of course, and did not want to push a downgrade "just in case" ASCL only supports V2 in their "beta" import. But so be it...
