Constellation lines -> Select single constellation -> Serpent/Serpent Bearer [malfunction]

Expected Behaviour

Using "select singe constellation" you can click/select your preferred constellations to come into view.

Actual Behaviour

In the Dutch (Nederlands) language this trigger malfunctions selecting Serpent and/or Serpent Bearer.
When the sky is clear, as in no constellation selected, Serpent and Serpent Bearer cannot be selected.
If a different constellation was selected prior then upon clicking Serpent and/or Serpent Bearer all constellations appear as if "Select single constellation" was not selected.

Steps to reproduce

Using v25.4:
Set language settings to "Nederlands", now in Sky Culture:
enable "Constellation lines" &
enable "Select single constellation",
now clear the skies with "W" and
select Serpent and/or Serpent Bearer.

Actually, many of the constellations misbehave. E.g. Aquila, Cygnus, Serpens, Delphinus, while the ones that work right are Vulpecula, Lacerta, Lyra, Scorpius.

No such problem in English, Russian, German. Very weird.

This correlates with the fact that "Aql", "Cyg", "Ser", "Del" abbreviations are translated in stellarium-skycultures/nl.po but "Vul", "Lac", "Lyr", "Sco" are not. Neither are they translated in de.po and ru.po.

Apparently the translated abbreviations are used as handles.

They are, but are they really translated to anything but the same strings? (I think we wanted to allow transliteration into other script systems (and maybe we missed something?), but never deviation from the international standard).

This is what I meant by "translated". In ru and de the msgstr entries are copies of msgid, but in nl the failing constellations have differing msgstr and msgid. And the ones that don't fail have the same msgstr and msgid.

Looks like a multi-faceted issue:

• Abbreviations of the default constellations are canonized by IAU and should not be changed in Latin-letter languages. Netherlands translation head should fix that. But generally also only changing script system is the same problem.
• The abbreviations are the unique ID keys. Translation was only allowed in SC2.0. Some consequences of translation may not have been fully thought through. E.g., any language switch needs to re-read&translate all SCs.
