This wasn't working for me. Does this require a samba install. I was trying to find the video where you do this, but I think you go through a gui and not command line to mount the directory as a drive.

Ok. So I got it mounted I think. Here's what i did:

 sudo apt update
 sudo apt install samba

nano /etc/cifs-creds

username=USERNAME_HERE
password=PASSWORD_HERE

nano /etc/samba/smb.conf
add:

# Samba config for jellyfin project
[data]
   path = /data
   available = yes
   valid users = username here
   read only = no
   browsable = yes
   public = yes
   writable = yes

sudo smbpasswd -a username

fstab line:

//10.0.0.100/data /data cifs uid=1000,gid=1000,credentials=/etc/cifs-creds,iocharset=utf8 0 0

This is what worked for me. I haven't gone through all the way yet, but I have to document it now or i'll forget or won't care in the future.
