Just wanted to say thank you for picking this up from dtank. I can't code but if there is anything I can do to help let me know...been watching and searching weekly to see if someone picked up their work.

Sadly, dtank leaving was a shock to many of us. I was speaking to him just a few weeks prior on Discord, and then he suddenly disappeared, without mention at all. Hopefully he's OK.

Definitely didn’t know them as well as you did but I agree the sudden drop in activity after ongoing updates is concerning for sure on their wellbeing in general.

Again wherever I can help let me know the docker container approach to me is the best for sure to self host it and avoid any public links.

That being said is the EPG being locally generated? The last version dtank was hosting the EPG I just had not dug into the new version you’ve created. I prefer keeping it all local to take any pressure off it being “hosted”.

If you mean to ask if we're generating an EPG each time, yes.
If you're asking if you have a local copy of the full EPG, yes. It's located in the docker image working directory.

If you want to access it, mount the folder:

        volumes:
            - /etc/timezone:/etc/timezone:ro
            - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
            - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock
            - ./config:/config
            - ./app:/usr/bin/app

All the tvapp data will be generated in usr/bin/app, including epg and m3u files.

The actual EPG generation code on how that xml / epg file is generated hasn't been released yet. dtank was generating that on another container he never shared, and we had to re-build it, and it's not production ready. That's one of the objectives we're looking to finish.

That's much nicer than the previous one I recall the local link was just sending you out to git for the EPG....local self hosted for this stuff IMO is always better ;)

We always appreciate help and input. I'm a little out of pocket this week on a work trip but I definitely have some ideas to help streamline some existing features into more customizable and locally executed functions.
