Possible auto-exposure with external trigger mode?

I would like to purchase some IMX296 based modules for prototyping the stereo cameras. The external triggering matches well our need of hardware synchronization. However, I would like to know if there's any possibility to have the auto-exposure with this, please?

Hello @l4es, I assume you would like to use a monochrome IMX296. In any case mono or color Sensor it is possible to use the auto-exposure feature of the Jetson ISPs. Please contact Vision Components (https://www.vision-components.com/en/contact/) to get the ISP Tuning for your camera type.

Thanks for your reply. Effectively we expect to use the IMX296 monochrome pair. We observe that the Jetson ISP engine took time to output data since the moment the stereo pair being externally triggered. That why we would like to use the v4l2 path to reduce the processing time.
