Can't retrieve doc w/ DOI format `10.1002/(SICI)1099-1824(199812)1:2<55::AID-WE5>3.0.CO;2-R`

When I'm using tdm.download_pdf(doi) or tdm.download_pdfs(dois) to retrieve documents, for example:

DOI = "10.1002/(SICI)1099-1824(199812)1:2<55::AID-WE5>3.0.CO;2-R"
tdm.download_pdf(DOI)

It returns the following error:

DOI: 10.1002/(SICI)1099-1824(199812)1:2<55::AID-WE5>3.0.CO;2-R - Known Issue

Meanwhile, I can manually download from its URL (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/(SICI)1099-1824(199812)1%3A2%3C55%3A%3AAID-WE5%3E3.0.CO%3B2-R).

Is there any way to solve the issue?
