How to select folders?

I'm told you can use WinMerge to compare folders. However, it isn't letting me select folders. Doesn't matter whether I double-click or select the folder and click open, it just opens the folder and won't select it. I tried dragging the folder into the main window but then the OK button was greyed out.

Windows 10. Latest version of WInmerge (just updated).
