1. Unofficial Third-Party Tool

CC Version Guard is an UNOFFICIAL, INDEPENDENT, and THIRD-PARTY software utility. This application is:

  • NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ByteDance Ltd., CapCut, or any of their subsidiaries
  • NOT developed, supported, or authorized by the creators or distributors of CapCut
  • NOT an official CapCut product or service

2. Trademarks and Intellectual Property

  • "CapCut" is a registered trademark of ByteDance Ltd.
  • All CapCut trademarks, logos, and branding remain the exclusive property of ByteDance Ltd.
  • This software uses the CapCut name solely for identification purposes under nominative fair use
  • We claim NO ownership or rights to the CapCut trademark or intellectual property

3. Software Functionality and Limitations

CC Version Guard is a local file management utility that:

What It Does:

  • Scans your local computer for existing CapCut installations
  • Manages multiple versions of CapCut already installed on your system
  • Provides links to official CapCut download servers for legacy versions
  • Creates backups of your local installation files

What It Does NOT Do:

  • DOES NOT host, distribute, or provide CapCut software
  • DOES NOT crack, patch, or modify CapCut binaries in any way
  • DOES NOT circumvent copy protection, DRM, or licensing mechanisms
  • DOES NOT enable piracy or unauthorized use of CapCut
  • DOES NOT interfere with CapCut's paid features or subscription services
  • DOES NOT collect, transmit, or intercept user data to/from CapCut servers

4. Download Sources

All CapCut version downloads are sourced directly and exclusively from:

  • Official ByteDance/CapCut CDN servers (lf16-capcut.faceulv.com)
  • Publicly accessible official distribution URLs
  • NO third-party mirrors, repacks, or modified installers

We merely provide convenient links to official sources. Users download directly from CapCut's servers.

5. Terms of Service Compliance

CRITICAL NOTICE:

Using this software to manage CapCut installations MAY violate CapCut's Terms of Service, particularly clauses related to:

  • Automatic updates
  • Version enforcement
  • Modification of installation files

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE:

  • You are solely responsible for compliance with CapCut's Terms of Service

Binary Distribution (Restricted)

  • Pre-compiled binaries (.exe, .msi) may ONLY be distributed by Zendevve (the author)
  • Unauthorized redistribution of compiled binaries is strictly prohibited

Commercial Use

  • Zendevve reserves the right to sell pre-compiled binaries
  • Purchasing a binary does NOT grant redistribution rights
  • Users may compile from source for personal use only

7. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

  2. Remove infringing content if legally required
  3. Cooperate fully with rights holders
