I'm thrilled to share Swift-Search-Agent, a project where Trafilatura is the critical "secret sauce" for our data pipeline.

The Role of Trafilatura

Our agent builds a high-performance search API, and Trafilatura is our primary tool for web scraping and text extraction. Here's why it's central to our architecture:

1. Clean Extraction: We use Trafilatura to strip away the "noise" (headers, footers, ads) from search results, ensuring the LLM only receives high-signal, relevant text.
2. Performance: Unlike heavy, browser-based scrapers (Playwright/Selenium), Trafilatura is incredibly fast and lightweight. This allows our agent to process multiple URLs in parallel with minimal latency.
3. LLM Synthesis: By providing clean, structured text from Trafilatura, we significantly reduce token usage and improve the accuracy of the LLM's synthesis.

Pipeline Overview

• Step 1: Fetch URLs via SearxNG.
• Step 2: Extract & Clean text with Trafilatura.
• Step 3: Pass clean context to any User-Provided LLM (Ollama, OpenAI, Groq, etc.).
