Brightness is too high in video output

When I export a video, the brightness is way too high. I'm using ffmpeg, and haven't used it in any other applications. It's only recently that this has started; seemingly when I changed to libx264 instead of libx265 encoding (switching it back has not solved the problem). It's not in game brightness, either. Is there something I triggered by accident?

Export a video with recording system Counter-Strike and encoder software ffmpeg, with container set to mp4 and video codec set to libx265. Then:
Create sequence following a single player. Recording system = Counter-Strike. Output = Video. Width = 1920. Height = 1080. Encoder software = ffmpeg. Video container = mp4. Video codec = libx264. Quality = 23. All other settings are default (I've reinstalled csdm and ffmpeg to be sure.) Video will appear to be brighter than it should be.

I tried using both x264 and x265 and don't have a brightness issue.

It could be related to your FFmpeg build, I tried using the one you get from the app:
