Multiple Select with Ctrl Key does not work on Macs

Macs assign ctrl-click to right click at system level, and this is very hard to change (I have not yet succeeded, despite trying multiple 3rd party apps). This means that ctrl-click brings up the context menu. Could we make the multi-select key combo configurable in options?
