Describe the bug

Startup fails with:

SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input
    at JSON.parse (<anonymous>)
    at L8 (http://wails.localhost/_app/immutable/chunks/utils.BCbGUkWc.js:60:618635)
    at async Ct (http://wails.localhost/_app/immutable/nodes/2.l6u1wGNd.js:1:1269)
    at async be (http://wails.localhost/_app/immutable/chunks/entry.v_a08hOu.js:1:12662)

To Reproduce

1. Install and launch the app
   • App fails to launch

If there's a config issue (such as in #303) then it consistently fails to launch. Otherwise, usually a second launch is successful.

Expected behavior

App launches successfully.
