Labels are not moveable

would like to have labels separable from say the relationships so I can move the label to where ever I want it instead of just in the middle of the relationship

That would require some deep refactoring at the Eclipse GEF/Draw2d level. Perhaps someone might contribute that as a feature.

You can always create a note with the label you want and link it to the object. Saying this, you can have a jArchi script doing this (maybe by getting labelValue from the visual object). The note should have a property to know that the text has to be recalculated and also the ID of the visual object for the label. The script can be used to refresh labels in notes doing this.

You are not limited to middle, you can also set source or target.

There's also a workaround for movable labels: you hide the name of the relation, and add a note connected to the relationships, with a label expression set to $connection:target{name}. If the connection color is set to white, this would do the trick.
