Hi! I am the owner of a multi-protocol chat server called CrossTalk (https://crosstalk.im), and one of the clients it supports is MSN Messenger. It has nearly full support, 1.0 - 2009 are fully implemented and 2011/2012 support is in development and is in a basic state.
We maintain our own configuration file for WebOne, which is based off the existing Escargot configuration file; you can find it here if you wish to take a look. It should work with all versions of the Windows MSN/Windows Live Messenger client (including most pre-release builds); I also made an attempt to forward many of Yahoo! Messenger's URLs.
I figured it's worth adding as CrossTalk is the 2nd most popular MSN Messenger revival service (with 150 - 200 active users on most days), has better client support than Escargot, and OMessenger is already an option as an alternative to Escargot.
And for Yahoo! Messenger, Escargot has shut down their Yahoo! Messenger service, and recommends CrossTalk instead as a replacement,
