Could not find any capture device settings #253

I'm using a 4KVC00 capture card. My tv is currently switching from my chromecast that is plugged into the capture card and saying there is no signal to the hdmi port. When I go to video capturing on hyperhdr v17, I don't see my capture card there.

Something very strange is happening with your system: that grabber appears and disappears after moment (once it's /dev/video0 other time it's /dev/video1, later it completely disappears...please verify dmesg on your system, for 100% there are more system details). If I had to guess:

it's power related issues. av access needs more than the standard USB2.0 could deliver, usually it works with stable Rpi USB2.0 but not when Rpi power supply is not stable. Also the cable that the grabber comes with is not the best quality and sometimes it has problem even with USB3.0.
or/and it's doesn't detect probably video source that it's receiving (and probably that's why it can't forward it do the T…

You are using USB hub because it's a Pi Zero? It complicates things a bit but I had a success using similar configuration but Rpi had a solid 2A power supply (don't trust cheap USB power supply labels, maybe they could deliver that power but it's fluctuating out of tolerated range) and a cable that could deliver that 2A to the Rpi. Otherwise you may need an active USB hub with its own power supply. Currently there are two problems: one with the grabber or its cable (when the hub is working) and second with the USB hub itself that keeps disconnecting. Probably it's the lack of stable and enough power supply.

OK, then it must be Rpi's buillt-in internal hub: I've never seen before that it could behave in such way. A bit disturbing but could be also explained by power supply related issue.

And now I can't get the rpi or lightstrips to turn on. I've tried reconnecting the wires multiple times and have wired them up separately to a barrel jack
