MusicBrainz Genres?

Hi, I enabled MusicBrainz Genres and now I'm getting weird genres like "1–9 wochen" and "offizielle charts." I look on MusicBrainz and there are two categories of tags, genre tags and other tags. These other tags appear to be getting applied as genres? I am doing something wrong?

The distinction is controlled by musicbrainz.genres_tag:

musicbrainz:
  genres: yes
  genres_tag: genre

genre imports only tags that MusicBrainz classifies as genres. tag imports all user-supplied tags, which can include chart names, languages, locations, and other descriptors such as the examples you saw.

So first check the effective value with:

beet config musicbrainz

If it says genres_tag: tag, change it to genre and re-import/mbsync the affected records. If it already says genre, please include a MusicBrainz release ID and the beets version, because those non-genre tags should be filtered out by the current MusicBrainz plugin.
