Request: filter artists by first character

Hi!

I'm enjoying Blackcandy 3.1.0 with a large-ish audio collection containing over 400 artists.

I often like to browse artists, but with 400+ this is very inconvenient. I'd like to be able to select all artists that start with, say, a T.
Ideally, when selecting artists, there would be a new line containing links All (default) A B C D etc that you can click to filter.

I'm willing to help implement this, but I'm new to Ruby on Rails so I would need some pointers to get started!

Thanks for trying BlackCandy and enjoy using it. I think it's will be very useful feature that let user can filter by Artist name. I am very glad you are interested in contributing to this project.
