Unable to set wallet balance for new card

Hi, just set up my first boltcard hub in Umbrel. I have an open outbound spendable lightning channel, but the card wallet says 0 sats. I cant send the available sats in the channel to the card because its the same channel.

I'd like to be able to set the new card with a spendable balance <= to the lightning channel balance. Do I have to edit the postgres table manually?

Hey Andrew, the wallet balance data is stored in the redis database. otherwise you'd have to send your self some sats in order to have a balance, it was designed with uncle jims in mind.

Thanks Robert, yeah i tried to send some sats from the channel, but it says cannot send to self. And i'm guessing sending it from other wallets wont work because I only have outbound channels and no inbound.

So last resort was to modify the db.

First I have to figure out how/where the redis is located in docker, then how to perform a record update from the cli.

FYI, lnbits has a great feature where you can "credit" the child wallets with a balance. Which worked great.
