Highlighting between specific nodes and respective edges

Hi,
thank you for this great project!

I'm trying to highlight two specific nodes in the chart, as well as the connecting path (edges) between them. Conceptually, it's something between the existing "Highlight Node" feature and the "Highlight node till root" button — but instead of always using the root node, I'd like to define an arbitrary second node as the "custom root" for the path.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to implement this behavior successfully.
Do you have any suggestions on how to approach this, or would you consider adding this as a built-in feature?
