How to reproduce

Main menu -> Singleplayer -> crash

Pretty much the same as (one half of) #4538: A mod (this time Construction Sticks) assumes nobody will need the maximum damage value of an itemstack before a world is loaded and Baritone breaks that assumption. Minecraft does construct item stacks without having a world loaded and I don't think there's a reason to assume nobody will call getMaxDamage on those, given that it's usually a simple getter method.

This would also be fixed by #4687, though perhaps you should report to Construction Sticks as well.
