I tried to test the rewrite branch: Google auth doesn't seem to work:

Thanks for the report. Root cause identified: the rewrite branch accepted OAuth credentials JSON from Web application clients as well as Desktop app clients. Google only allows loopback redirects on arbitrary ports for Desktop app clients, so a Web client fails with Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch in the browser whilst the CLI waits silently.

Fixed on the rewrite branch:

• The credential type is now detected; web-type credentials produce a clear warning explaining that a Desktop app client is required.
• The auth flow prints the redirect URI in use and mentions the redirect_uri_mismatch cause, and the timeout error explains what to check.
• nextmeeting auth google --guide is now an interactive wizard that validates the credentials file and warns about Web clients before starting the flow.
• The loopback server now uses an ephemeral port.

Could you retry with an OAuth client of type Desktop app (Google Cloud Console → Credentials → Create OAuth client ID → Desktop app)? If it still misbehaves on the latest rewrite, please reopen the discussion here.
