Once you have a slurm account, you can also use your account to book equipment, workstations and lab space. The login is exactly the same as your cluster account.
Good to know: Booking is not mandatory but gives you priority. If you've booked a resource, it is assigned to you for the duration of your booking. Please make sure to empty the arena space after your booking has ended and leave any workstations and equipment clean and tidy.
When you're physically in the lab, you can log into one of the computers there, open a browser and visit 10.0.0.1/. This will take you to the login page of the booking system.
You can also access the booking system remotely by running the following command in a terminal
ssh -L 8080:10.0.0.1:80 yourusername@hex
Use your usual username and password. Once you're connected, open a browser and visit localhost:8080/. You should see the login page of the booking system.
To book a resource, select a date, time and the resource and click on the corresponding cell in the schedule. Give your booking a name, set start and end time and all the resources you need. Click 'Create' and your booking is complete.
You can book a maximum of 40 hours at any time. Once a booking has passed, you'll be able to book again.

The resources are colour-coded into 5 categories: Space, Manufacturing, Computer, Robot and Other. You can filter for the categories by choosing a Resource Type in the filters to the left.

Lab space refers to the arena where experiments can be run (within the truss). Manufacturing space cannot currently be reserved.

Avoid having to repeat steps by adding resources to the same booking by using the "Change +" button next to "Resources" in your booking creation page.

The Optitrack system is not a resource but an accessory you can add when you book lab space since it cannot be used outside of the arena.
