How many workers should celery spawn?

Celery is spawning a lot of workers, one per processor. Given that xssp requires quite a lot of processing power, is this a good idea? Should it be limited to fewer?

@jonblack have you noticed performance problems while testing hope-flask?

I've not looked at this for any project. I've not noticed any problems...yet. I'm not sure what the best practise is for something like this.
