Extra segmentation tools not showing up in others TagLab

Hello,
In my TagLab (downloaded on January 20th of 2025) I have three additional segmentation tools, one being draw scribbles around and inside an instance, one being the automatic segmentation of all instances in a work area, and one being segmentation using positive and negative points. (picture shown below). My peers do not have these and we are unsure how to get them to have the version with these. One person has a version older than mine, and the others just downloaded taglab about two weeks ago. We do not know why I am the only one and how to get them to have them as well. Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this, thank you!

Hi,

some tools depends on the initial installation. For example, tools based on SAM becomes active if sam-everything is installed, otherwise no. Other tools depend on the TagLab mode. TagLab is primarily designed to work for marine ecologists/biologists but it is used also in the field of digital heritage. So, go in the menu under File, press Settings, and under Settings select the research field you want to use. IF you select Digital Heritage, some of this tools appear.

I have recently installed TagLab and do not have the SAM tools. I would like to use SAM - all instances in an area and SAM - positive/negative clicks in an area. How do I install these?

we need more details to understand what happen. First, what is your operating system ? Can you check in the TagLab/models folder if a file named "sam_vit_h_4b8939.pth" model is present ?

I am using macOS Sequoia. I do not have "sam_vit_h_4b8939.pth" in my TagLab/models folder.

Perhaps this problem has been caused by updating TagLab. Please, remove it, download the files again, and run again install.py .
You need homebrew installed on your machine. Let me know if this resolve.

Unfortunately when we uninstalled and redownloaded with homebrew we still did not have these tools. Is there any other way to resolve this issue?
