Question about installation

Hi, I am new to this, can I assume the upload folder is to upload and overwrite the usual opencart installation, but what about the tools folder? Do I upload it into somewhere? Thanks.

Hi condor2, thank you for your reply.

Changed to PHP8.1, upload everything to overwrite my old files, tried to follow the read me to change the 2 config. But it gives me error of the json syntax during the moving of the storage folder. Any idea what could cause it?
