Stale index results under heavy write loads

under write-intensive environments (multi-thousand docs/sec) query results are delayed (since index update operation is in progress?)
For many apps, it is convenient to query `stale=ok` data to show an eventually consistent data (not the most recent data) quickly.

Is this possible now? or planned? or against the whole Couchbase indexing and N1QL !?
