How do I edit local markdown file?

If I open a local .md file on my phone using Zettle, it goes to preview mode and I can't find an Edit button.

Hey, Due to android permissions issue, this is not possible currently. Maybe in future if more users demand it, I will consider this feature.

I really thought this was possible through sharing the file to the app to open it

The inability to edit a pre-existing.md file means Zettel is a limited. It can make and edit in app notes but is not a full fledged editor. Too bad. It has potential otherwise. Maybe you might reconsider.
