Image preview issue.

In edit mode can double tapping an attached image link differentiate from long pressing an attached image link by opening an inline hovering preview of the image within a given document without moving focus away from the selected image link text like it currently does?

Currently, long pressing an attached image link in document editor mode takes the user away from the document and into to an image editor (edit/share/delete). And when the user exits the image editor the cursors jumps to the top of the document instead of remaining in the area where the user clicked the preview. Please can we fix it to keep the cursor where the user last tapped in the document.
