Error happened on submitting comment

Got this when I submitted a comment on the /u/ board.

The message was too long to be pasted here but I have a copy of it on my machine

The error message is "Commands out of sync; you can't run this command now"

We've been seeing this on the site for a while now but I haven't sat down to debug it yet. Only seems to happen when the site is under heavy load.
