Entities becoming unavailable intermittently

Entities from this integration become unavailable intermittently - it happens for all the entities.
Example:

I'm not really sure what is causing it - it happens 2-3 times per hour, I would say it might be related to issues in connectivity with the inverter (it's a known problem with Deye wifi dongles).

Does anybody have this issue? Is there a known workaround for this?

Hi @pbzdyl, this is really a connection problem between HA instance <-> logger and most likely a issue on the logger side. Unfortunately it's literally a lottery how well it works or doesn't. :)

I'm wondering if this is really the cause - the status of reported in the screenshot indicates that the entity becomes unavailable and persists in this state for just 9 seconds. When I check the history of the status I can see it is unavailable for about 3-9 seconds and then returns to be available again. Maybe there is another cause @davidrapan? Do you have any hints how I could troubleshoot it?

What's interesting, when I checked (for now just 2 entities), it happens (that's what the GUI says) at one minute after hour and 9 minutes after hour, so for example 08:01:00, 08:09:00, 09:01:00, 09:09:00, 10:01:00, 10:09:100 and so on, and lasts for 3-10 seconds. This behavious was consistent during the last 24 hours. I will enable debug logging for this integration and see if there is anything in the logs.

I just got the log and found a strange correlation: exactly at 15:01 and 15:09 the log says:

So there is a reload(...) log entry and the entities immediately become unavailable (even before any actual communication with the inverter) and once async_setup_entry: config_entry.async_on_unload(config_entry.add_update_listener(reload)) appears in the log, they are available again.

Could that be related to this issue @davidrapan? I'm not an expert in HA custom integrations, so I'm not sure if this could cause such an effect:

Something from within your HA is changing the polling which triggers integration reload.

That was it! Long time ago I added an automation that was supposed to be a workaround for Deye connectivity issues caused by interference between this integration and software that controls the inverter settings for energy consumption and storage optimisation. Thank you @davidrapan for pointing me in the correct direction!
