Server owners are currently able to restrict certain command usage to specific channels/roles, which removes them from the command list for that bot, unless the specific criteria are met. Even then, sometimes admins may not wish to have their UI cluttered up with commands that they do not use either. I think it would be quite a decent quality of life improvement if it were possible for either users with User Installed apps, or for bot developers, to be able to toggle off/on the display of certain commands for users.
For example, my own app has commands for a few different games, but if a user who has the app installed does not play some of these games, then their command list could be cluttered up with commands for games that they do not play. If this feature were to be up to the user of the app, they could just toggle on/off the display of certain commands in the command list if they do not use them. If it were up to the app developer, it could also allow app developers to have certain "owner only" commands available anywhere rather than in just a specific guild.
While I think this feature could be beneficial for both user installed and server apps, I think it's main use case would be specifically for user installed apps.
