Is anyone maintaining yahooquery any more?

Searching through the issues I don't see any comments from Doug for quite a while and no new code releases even thought there are 14 open pull requests.

@dpguthrie Hi Doug, I'd be more than happy to carry out essential maintenance to keep the package up to date with dependencies. You may recall that I've contributed to the project before (I've also offered the open PR #262 which would fix some current issues). I also maintain and own other financial packages including exchange-calendars (maintainer), market-prices (owner) and market-analy (owner), the last two of which depend on yahooquery.

If you like the idea, just invite me to be a collaborator. I'd only push changes necessary to keep the project compatible with dependencies.

Hi Marcus,

FYI I've bult a local version that seems to work fine in python 3.13. I have added the Pandas 3 changes and modified the pyproject.toml to fix lxms to "^5.3.2". It's working for my codes but should be put through full testing if it is to be released

Ye. You can use pip to install as it's on pypi.org. There are a few Pandas 3 warnings that will be remove by Monday

These fix the current get_crumb issue and bring maintenance right up to date, including fixes for various warnings and support for both python 3.13 and the latest versions of all dependencies. It's all in the latest release v2.4.0.

I have been invited to collaborate and hope to be able to offer some future support on the maintenance front.
