When a post is saved in Elementor, the front end highlighter report does not update until the page is refreshed #1359

Description

@christophermhinds

Please give us a description of what happened.

This issue was raised by a EDAC Pro customer, but impacts the free version. Refer to internal support request #6910 for more details.

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

Customers expect that when they save a post (regardless of the editor they are using), that the reported accessibility errors and warnings will also update inside of EDAC reports. The front end highlighter is visible inside the Elementor editor. If a post is saved, the front end highlighter should be showing the latest EDAC scan data, otherwise end users may get confused.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

  1. Go to a site using both Elementor and EDAC.
  2. Scan a post.
  3. Edit the scanned post or page to either add or remove a known accessibility issue that EDAC can detect.
  4. Review the front end highlighter report without refreshing and you should see that it does not reflect the issue that was just added and/or removed.

As referenced above, this sequence to reproduce is based on a customer support request.
